  Spent a week here in July 2013, Joyce and Bob are friendly and welcoming hosts. Recommend getting a room with a balcony as the views were spectacular with all the Woolacombe beaches in sight.
  
  My accommodation was with the shared bathroom facilities (there are two separate toilets available) which was never a problem. The accommodation was self catering but we only used the apartments cooker once, there are plenty of eateries in Woolacombe itself including the Puffin Cafe, Sophias' Tapas bar, Woolacombe Bay Pizza Co, and the Woolacombe Frier are a few places we visited and are in walking distance.
  
  Apartments are quiet and comfortable enough to sit in for short/medium periods, but honestly as the weather was amazing that week we were out on the beach or looking at local tourist sites most days. Huge plus factors was the ability to walk to any of the nearby beaches, parking at the rear of the property (as its pay and display on the road or seven quid to park all day in Woolacombe) and being self catering we could come and go as we please.
  
  If you want more privacy then go for an apartment with en-suite, Joyce showed us all the apartments and most have a view over the bay, but I can't recommend the balcony enough!!
